O'malley's Event A Huge Success!!

Thank you so much to everyone who came!! Also thank you so much to those who donated items and tickets for the raffle prizes. We made $327 on the raffle alone! We had 65 people there for our event and O'malley's gave a little extra from them personally. A grand total of $1,127.00!!! I would say that was a huge success and I can't thank each and everyone of you who participated enough! Take a look at the O'malleys Event Pics page.

Sooo that brings us to a little over $3,000 total so far! I'm thrilled at the success of this website and the events to support it. I will be looking into planning a bowling event in Michigan sometime in the near future as well as a golf outing when the weather breaks! If you have any insight or advice, I would love your help!

SPECIAL THANKS TO RYAN SADOWY AND THE CREW!!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2008!!!! Ryan Sadowy, Duker, Nick, Sean, Mike, Scotty and the rest of the crew threw an awesome NYE party this year and was generous enough to donate part of the profits to my family! It was a very large donation and I can't thank you enough. You didn't have to do that but please know that I am truly appreciative!! Happy 2008!!!

O'malley's Event!!

SATURDAY, JANUARY 26
$25 From 8-11pm All you can drink draft beer and well drinks. $1 shots and $2 bombs. O'malley's is being generous enough to give me and my family part of the proceeds from the events attendance! Thank you Scott, Matt and Manny!! It will be a great time and I hope you can make it. Make your travel plans you out of towners!!

Also thanks again to those who have donated. Even the sweet messages on the message board are great! We have raised a little over $1,000 so far. It's a great start! THANK YOU ALL!!!

FYI

First of all thanks so much for all the support so far. A special thanks to those who have donated and left messages!! I love you all and appreciate all of your support. Keep an eye out for a benefit event here in Chicago at O'malleys. I don't have a date yet but I will come up with the details soon!

Also, my parents do NOT know about this site and I want to keep it that way. So if you are close to them, see them on a regular basis or plan on speaking with them please please don't tell them about this. Thank you!

First post....

Hi everyone! Thanks so much for visiting. Please bare with me as I am not a professional in creating websites. I don't have much for expectations with this site but I do have some real high hopes in paying off ALL of my parents medical bills. I will keep you posted as this experience continues. I say that because I want everyone who visits this website to know that I truly appreciate you taking time out of your day to read my story. Whether you choose to help my family, send a kind note, or put us in your prayers at night, I thank you.

I’m an only child and my family is my life. My mother and father have raised me to put others before myself – that is why I have created aheart4u.com. I know that there are thousands of websites with people begging for money – but this website is different in many respects. I’m not asking for the money for me to get out of debt due to my own carelessness – this is for my parents and to help my family in a time of need.

February 2007 at the age of 47 my dad took himself to the hospital. Unbeknown to him he was having a heart attack. What he thought was a chest pain that wouldn’t go away, turned into emergency open heart surgery. While we are very grateful and blessed that the surgery was successful, 10 months later we face the ultimate end result…..the medical/hospital bills.

My father, an Air Force Veteran and self employed handy man did not have the luxury of company health care benefits to help defray the cost of the surgery. After the heart attack he was forced to take time off of work for quite some time while the bills continued to mount. With my mom unable to work after her motorcycle accident 11 years ago which left her right arm paralyzed and compressed fracture in her back they find it hard to stay positive about these increasing numbers.

I have a proud family – and I am proud of my family. As I sit thinking of ways to help them in their time of need I came up with aheart4u.com. I want to pay ALL of their medical bills and I need your help! I am not asking for much and any amount would be appreciated. If I got every person who looked at this website to donate $1 with 100,000 visitors I will have reached my goal!!

Even if you do not donate – please take the time to pass this along to a friend who you think would take the time to read my story and possibly make a donation.
